Welcome to Vega's Page!
Dear Friends and Family:
I cycled 100 continuous miles with the TEAM TO END AIDS (T2) endurance training program to help in the fight against HIV/AIDS!!!!!
I really believe in this organization and the work they do, so took the time out of my challenging graduate school studies to train (every Saturday at 6am!!) and raise funds for this amazing cause. Please consider showing your support by contributing to my fundraising goal. (Click the "Sponsor Me" button to the left.) We rode through rain, flat tires, broken spokes, bike accidents, terrible winds, sweat and tears.
Thank you so much! Your help means more to me than you could know.
PS The ride was August 27th. We had a constant 20 mph head wind with gusts of 25-40 mph. It was absolutely grueling, but because of my determination and amazing coaches and teammates, I completed the ride in 6 1/2 hours (ride time). We left Wrigley Field at 8am and arrived at Miller Park at 4. Donations will be taken until October 31st :)
