Cecilia Boyd is a TEAM Manager for TEAM TO END AIDS(T2). Cecilia joined T2 in 2011. Prior to T2, Cecilia worked as the Development and Media coordinator for Pediatric AIDS Chicago Prevention Initiative, a local organization committed to serving HIV-positive pregnant women and preventing the spread of the virus from mothers to their children. Cecilia is a graduate of Northwestern University receiving a degree in Social Policy.
Cecilia will serve as a guide for all of your half-marathon and marathon needs. She is a classically-trained ballet dancer turned athlete hailing from the city of the Chicago. Cecilia trained with T2 in its inaugural year completing 2 half-marathons, the 2010 Chicago Marathon, and finishing 3rd in her age group in her first indoor triathlon while raising over $2,000 for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. In 2011 Cecilia has gone on to complete the Mason City Marathon, North Shore Half Marahton and the Honolulu Marathon.
As a TEAM Manager, Cecilia hopes to share her insights on nutrition, injury prevention, fundraising and staying on track to complete your running and fundraising goals. Cecilia’s 2012 goals include a few half-marathons, a lot of 5 and 10Ks, and two more marathons. Email: cboyd@aidschicago.org

Kevin Ciacco has been fundraising for AIDS Foundation of Chicago through endurance events training programs since 2005 when he trained and completed his first marathon. Since then he has continued to run marathons but has also ventured into the wonderful world of triathlons! He trained for and finished his first Olympic Distance Triathlon in 2010 and his first Half Ironman in 2011, both with T2.
Kevin is very excited to be TEAM Manager for T2 and to get to help all the triathletes raising money for an amazing cause, learning about the triathlon sport, and reaching their goals. As TEAM manager he will help alumni set new personal goals and records as well as help those who are new to learn that the triathlon sport is the best endurance event out there!

Dan joined the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) endurance training program in the summer of 2008 as a participant training for the Honolulu Marathon and raising $3,700 for AFC. In January of 2009 he joined the staff as a Program Representative assisting over 1,000 participants in 2009 and 2010 complete their event and raising aver $1 million dollars for people living with HIV/AIDS.
In 2010 Dan marked the 4 year anniversary of his uncle’s passing due to complications from HIV, by completing 4 marathons in one year and raising almost $6,000 for the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Now as the Director of Endurance Events, Dan heads up TEAM TO END AIDS (T2) Chicago while continuing his commitment and journey through endurance sport by helping others achieve their goals of becoming endurance athletes while building a stronger commitment to helping those living with HIV/AIDS.

In 2012 Dan looks to add a return to the London Marathon, in addition to the LA Marathon, Marine Corps Marathons and Malibu Triathlon to his resume. Dan is also a USATF Level 1 Coach. Katie started as a participant in the marathon training program to benefit the AIDS Foundation of Chicago during its inception in 2003. This year marks her 8th season as a coach and 10th year overall with our training programs. In this time, she has run 13 official marathons, an ultra marathon, and a half Ironman. She is currently training for her first full Ironman in Panama City in November 2012. She is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach and has trained over 2000 athletes for our marathons and half marathons located in Chicago, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Houston, Las Vegas, Ireland, Italy, and Amsterdam.
In addition to serving as our Head Coach for running events, Katie works full time as a Clinical Services Department Head serving adults with Developmental Disabilities. She received her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science and Law, Sociology, Psychology, and a certificate in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Valparaiso University. She currently holds her professional clinical license in Illinois and is also certified as a Behavior Analyst.
Katie is dedicated to making your goal a reality, as her experience in working with runners has shown that anything is possible when you put your mind to it. She enjoys working with runners at all levels, but is especially touched by those doing the program even when it is something completely outside of their comfort zone. Email: kschmid@aidschicago.org
