Since its inception in 2001, more than 20,000 participants, raising more than $3 million net, have converged in Grant Park to get moving against HIV/AIDS. Join the fight with thousands of others in 2011 and help the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) raise more than $500,000 net!

Thank you for participating in the AIDS Run & Walk Chicago! The AIDS Foundation of Chicago looks forward to your participation in what will be the best AIDS Run & Walk to date. On Saturday, October 1, many of you will join your family, friends, and colleagues and reaffirm that stopping AIDS is possible. Whether you are walking or running, you are making a difference by showing up, raising much needed support, and raising awareness about HIV/AIDS.

TIMELINE FOR THE DAY
Please note! The AIDS Run & Walk begins considerably earlier this year! It is essential that every runner and walker register and be at the start line on time!
7:00 a.m. Pre-Registration Packet Pick Up-- If you have not received your t-shirt and bib, please arrive by 8 a.m. Service Providers Council Tent Health & Fitness Village Entertainment Begins
8:15 a.m. Day of Event Registration Closes
8:30 a.m. 5K Run Starts
8:45 a.m. 10K Run Starts
9 a.m. Walkers Start
Day of Event Registration Opens for those who have not registered before Wednesday, September 28. Note, runners who register the day of the event will not be chip-timed.
PARKING--Due to vehicular traffic re-routes the day of the event, we recommend parking garages in Grant and Millennium Parks. Click here for parking information.

STATE STREET CLOSURE, SEPTEMBER 30-OCTOBER 2--State Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Friday, September 30 until Sunday, October 3. Please plan your traffic route to the AIDS Run & Walk Chicago accordingly. CTA bus routes will be affected. Click here for updated CTA Announcements. CTA trains will continue operating as scheduled. Please allow enough time to navigate through this area.
