Welcome to Otis's Page!
Dear Friends and Family,
I'm training for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and also raising money for the AIDS FOUNDATION OF CHICAGO. I'm training with TEAM TO END AIDS (T2) to help in the fight against HIV/AIDS! A couple weeks ago our pace group did 23 miles! Even the poring rain did not stop us. Marathon day (10/10/10) is only days away and I'm as ready as I'll ever be...so BRING IT!
I'm so grateful for those who have donated so far. I'm very close to reaching my pledge goal and ask that you help with any amount you can.
I am running on behalf of many friends I have lost. AIDS Foundation of Chicago is leading the fight against HIV/AIDS in the Chicago area by funding prevention programs and services such as medical care, food and housing, to stop the spread of HIV and help people live full and productive lives until the day there’s a cure.
Please support me in my training and to reach my fundraising goal. Give whatever you can $20, $25, $35, etc. For those who can give $50 or more, I will mail you a signed poster of my 'Sista With Braids' drawing. Together, we can TRIUMPH over HIV/AIDS. (Click the “Sponsor Me” button to the left.) On the drop down menu, choose 'Bank of America Chicago Marathon'.
If you would rather mail in a contribution, let me know and I'll send you the form.
*Photo of me running my first marathon is by Jason Smith for Chicago Free Press.
Peace and many thanks, Otis Richardson
